Foundation concrete is the most critical concrete on any structure — it has to be right the first time. We pour footings, slabs, and stem walls for additions, detached garages, outbuildings, and light commercial structures throughout Waco and McLennan County, following proper depth-to-bearing-soil requirements for the region.

What Goes Into a Proper Foundation Pour

Foundation work starts with excavation to the correct depth — in McLennan County, this means going below the level where frost can affect the bearing soil. Footing dimensions are determined by the load the structure will carry. Reinforcement — rebar sized and spaced for the application — is placed before the pour. The concrete mix is designed for the PSI rating appropriate to the foundation type. Curing is managed to prevent premature drying.

Permits and Inspections

Most foundation work requires a building permit in McLennan County. We work within the permitting process and schedule inspections at the appropriate stages. If you are not sure whether your project requires a permit, we can help you determine that at the assessment stage. Working without required permits can create problems when you sell or refinance the property.
